I applied and I got in. However, I had a load of scholarships. Another girl in my grade got the CHick Evans Scholarship (free college, pretty much) and got in. I know people who are better students than I and this girl who did not get in. Northwestern, though no one really admits or see it, accepts you if they think you are qualified and think you can PAY. It's all about money. $$$

Yes. The extra curricular activities along with a solid schedule almost always do you well. Honestly, some of the kids with nothing but an A in every class along with consistent service won't get into top notch schools. And there is not much explanation for it sometimes! So yes you have a good record and a chance, but never put all your hopes on one school because you never know. My brother got a great ivy league deal, and yet didn't get into some schools that were less prestigious than where he's at now. Apply everywhere, and you'll be fine!
